'The Wheel of Life'.
Scarab asks the Justice Society of America to help find the next person to become Doctor Fate. Scarab was able to determine, thanks to Wesley Dodds (aka the original Sandman), that there are three potential babies that could become the next Dr. Fate. The Society splits up to investigate and find themselves being attacked by the Egyptian zombies from Wesley Dodds' funeral. The last team, led by Wildcat, find the baby they were meant to find being held by a new Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl explains her part in the events unfolding when they are all attacked by Mordru, the Dark Lord.
