As Logan prepares to fight the possessed knife-juggling mime he's found in his new apartment, the sight of the mysterious box he's safekeeping sparks a memory. He recalls when he was in Japanese-occupied China and encountered Imperial soldiers threatening an aged teacher and a young American wielding a staff. Logan's valor in defending the pair impressed Captain Ogun, who offered to teach Logan martial arts.
